This has to be one of the most heartfelt appeals we have seen for a while. Tom Frankenberg has decided to give away a £1000 holiday to Malta he had bought for him and his girlfriend to go on before the pair split up. This act of generosity is aimed at putting a little bit of good back into society and although Tom admits it won't change everything he hopes to do that little bit to make things right.
The 22-year-old from Nottingham decided to give the holiday away after he and his girlfriend split and he couldn't find anyone to go with him. As outlined in the video he tried to sell the holiday on eBay but wasn't allowed to because of their rules; and he tried to find someone else to go with him but he couldn't think of anyone he really wanted to go with.
The Clip, shown below, is titled 'Tom Goes Crazy and Gives His Holiday Away', and will most likely go viral thanks to Social Networks and other mediums very much like this this site. However we don't think it's crazy at all and is a genuine act of generosity that is rarely seen today.
The holiday will go to someone who 'really deserves it' according to Tom and he hopes he will get as many applications as possible so that someone really worthy will get the chance. Some have criticised the act as nothing more than a publicity stunt for his own YouTube channel. This may be a little short sighted though as far as we see it any positive act, regardless of intentions, must be seen as that. A positive act.
